SafeSciMET Workshop on New and Emerging Education and Training Needs
Friday, May 6, 2011, Vienna Veterinary Medical University, Veterinärplatz 1, AT-1210, Vienna, Austria
Preparing for the future of safety sciences education and training in Europe is an important aspect of the SafeSciMET Project. Two workshops are being prepared to specifically address current and emerging education and training needs as well as models for sustainability of the education and training programme.
As indicated above, the First Workshop is scheduled for Friday, May 6, 2011, in Vienna, Austria, with the second workshop to follow 12-18 months later. Members and partners of SafeSciMET and the Steering Committee need to be well represented in this important meeting, to provide insight, contribute to the discussions and to demonstrate commitment and support of this strategic area. The workshop is also open to other relevant scientific communities, represented by industry, academia and regulators. For preliminary programme of the Workshop, click here!
There is no Workshop fee. If you are a member of the SafeSciMET Steering Committee and/or otherwise directly engaged in the SafeSciMET project, please register to it and make your hotel reservation on-line (see link below). If not in any of the above categories, drop an email to: eufeps@congrex.com, and we’d get back about e.g. travel and accommodation policy for it.
To add value to the trip, the Workshop has been scheduled between two additional significant events in Vienna – a one-day Safety Sciences Hot-topics Conference, on Thursday, May 5, 2011, organised with the EUFEPS Network on Safety Sciences (see www.eufeps.org “Current Meetings”), and the SafeSciMET Steering Committee Meeting, on Saturday, May 7, 2011 (invitation and agenda circulated to the members of it, recently).
